Our approach is different. Yes, we screen students to make sure they're ready for the class. But then you have to get the job. You reach out to businesses. You apply. You interview. The business has to accept you.

This flips the dynamic in an important way. You're not being handed something—you're earning it. That's exactly how it works in the real world, and that's exactly how we prepare you for it.

We provide the resources: one-page profiles of partner businesses, contact information, coaching on interview skills. But the initiative comes from you.

Access to motivated, coachable talent. These are students who applied for a competitive program, went through screening, and earned their spot. They want to be there.

Preview potential future employees. You get a semester to see how someone works, learns, and fits your culture—before you ever have to make a hiring decision.

This isn't the old "loosely do some timesheets" program. This is a real course with real expectations.

Bootcamp. Before you ever set foot in a workplace, you'll spend two weeks preparing. Interview skills. Workplace readiness. Understanding the essential employability skills that matter across every career.

Ongoing coaching. You'll meet with your instructor every couple weeks throughout the semester. This isn't just "check the box"—it's continuous development of your professional competencies.

Weekly accountability. Calendar scheduling. Time sheets. Reflections on what you've completed. You'll build the habits that successful professionals use.

Capstone project. At the end, you'll tell your story. What did you do? What did you create? What did you learn? Whether you loved it or learned it's not for you—that's your story to tell.

High school is the perfect time to discover what you want—and what you don't.

Some students will do Field Experience and fall in love with their industry. They'll say "I learned so much about engineering—I definitely want to pursue this." That's a win.

Other students will learn the opposite. "I thought I wanted to be an electrician, but after this experience, I realized it's not for me." That's also a win.
